How-To Add Vexcel WMTS to QGIS

This article is for quickly adding the Vexcel WMTS feed into QGIS

Instructions

  1. Start QGIS

  2. Open Layer → Add Layer → Add WMS/WMTS Layer

  3. Click New

  4. Under Connection Details:

    1. Name: e.g., Vexcel WMTS

    2. URL: https://api.vexcelgroup.com/v2/ortho/wmts

  5. Switch to the Basic authentication tab

    1. Username: Email that you log into the Vexcel Viewer with

    2. Password: The Password that you created with your login for the Vexcel Viewer 

If your login is currently set up to utilize Federated Authentication (Single Sign On) and you would like to utilize a password, please reach out to support@vexcelgroup.com

      6. Hit “OK” once complete
        7. Hit "Connect" with your new WMTS connection:
     
        8. You should now see the available layers in QGIS

Available Layers will be dependent on users' access

You can also see the layers in the main QGIS window under WMS/WMTS
